Appetizer check with pumpkin seeds

We returned to the kitchen, and this time we prepared an appetizer check with pumpkin seeds. A quick, simple and easy recipe, with ingredients available to anyone, for any pocket.

Most of us do sweet checks, but we decided to show you how to make a savory but very tasty check, which can be served in different ways and at different times: at any meal of the day (breakfast , lunch or dinner, along with some vegetables), can be served on special occasions, cut into slices and placed on the platter with various appetizers, slices can be put in casseroles and packaged in short hikes by car or in the package with food for job, college or school. Whatever the occasion, an appetizer check is an ideal choice.

The recipe for an appetizer check is very versatile because you can add your favorite vegetables and / or cheeses. We opted for a few vegetables of various colors, so that they look good when slicing: corn, green onions, kapia peppers, mushrooms. Because we are cheese fans, we used a light telemea, but if you do not like telemea, you can add to your choice: feta, cheese, warp. In addition to this, starting in the fall, I picked up some pumpkin seeds from Orlando’s shelf and added them both to the composition of the check and above it. This is to keep in tune with the new season, which we have been waiting with great pleasure.

All the ingredients used were wonderful and our recipe came out exactly as we expected: delicious.

We also invite you to follow the recipe, and if you like it, we can hardly wait to tell you what you thought!

Ingredients

40 gr. Orlando’s pumpkin seeds
200 gr. whole wheat flour
5 eggs
100 gr. light ground
100 gr. boiled corn on cobs
150 gr. mushrooms (ready cooked and cut from canned)
1 head of peppers
3 strands of green onion
200 ml. kefir (can be replaced with healthy or yogurt)
30 ml. olive oil
10 gr. baking powder
little salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a large bowl add the 5 eggs, 200 ml. kefir and 30 ml. olive oil. Beat these ingredients well with a purpose. In the same bowl, add the baking powder, a little salt, pepper, one by one the whole flour and mix with a teaspoon, until all the composition is homogenized.

Add the rest of the ingredients in the bowl: the corn, mushrooms, the telemea cut into smaller pieces, the kapia pepper and the green onions washed, cleaned and cut into smaller cubes, plus 40 gr. Orlando’s pumpkin seeds.

Mix everything well with a wooden spoon, then pour the composition into a check tray covered with a baking sheet and anointed with a little oil. Sprinkle another 2-3 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds on the entire surface of the check, then place the tray in the preheated oven at 180 * C for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes put a toothpick in the middle of the check, and if the toothpick comes out clean, without dough, the check is ripe. Otherwise, leave for another 5 minutes to bake.

After the check has been baked, allow it to cool completely, then cut it into appropriate slices and serve it with appetite.

The appetizer check with pumpkin seeds can be kept in the fridge in a saucepan for 3-5 days.
