Homemade chocolate with peanuts and apricots
Do you remember homemade chocolate from childhood? That extremely delicious dessert that we couldn’t wait for our mother or grandmother to prepare?
Simple or filled with various nuts and dried fruit, the homemade chocolate bar was one of our choices whenever we wanted to eat something good. We used Orlando’s lightly salted dehydrated apricots and peeled peanuts, which balanced the sweet taste of the chocolate extremely well. I told you we like sweet and savory combinations, right? This combination of tastes highlights all the flavors and brings that preparation to anonymity, no matter how simple.
If you have chocolate-loving friends or if you want to surprise your friends you haven’t seen in a long time, these homemade chocolate bars with dehydrated peanuts and apricots can be a perfect choice. Wrap them nicely, even write them a message of friendship, your gesture will be appreciated and in addition you will awaken pleasant memories.
We enjoyed them in the morning for coffee. In what context would you eat them?
Ingredients
70 gr. Orlando’s peeled peanut
70 gr. Orlando’s dried apricots
250 gr. powdered milk
130 gr. butter
100 ml. the water
2 tablespoons raw sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 tablespoon Orlando’s rum essence
Put the powdered milk and cocoa in a bowl, both sifted through a sieve, so that we don’t have lumps, and the chocolate is fine. Mix them with a spoon.
Chop and finely chop the dried peanuts and apricots.
Add 100 ml to a saucepan. water and the two tablespoons of raw sugar, mix then boil for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
After 5 minutes, add 130 gr. cut butter into cubes and leave it in the pan and stir until it melts.
Add the sugar syrup and melted butter in a bowl over the powdered milk and cocoa, plus a tablespoon of rum essence. Homogenize the compositions thoroughly with a wooden spoon or a whisk so that they are not lumpy.
In this composition add 70 gr. diced dried apricots and 40 gr. finely chopped peanuts. The remaining 30 gr. You will add peanuts at the end over the homemade chocolate. Mix everything with a spoon, then pour the composition into a tray, leveling nicely on the surface. We used a tray measuring 16×16 cm.
Put the rest of the peanuts on top, then put the tray in the fridge for 2-3 hours to harden the chocolate. After it has hardened, take the tray out of the fridge and cut the homemade chocolate with peanuts and apricots into suitable pieces.
Serve with great appetite with your loved ones!
