Fusilli with green peas and Orlando’s Bio seed mix

You need a lot of courage to add the seed mix into a slice of pasta, and we’ve had it all. I never thought how well they would fit into such a recipe, but we highly recommend you try these green peas and sunflower seed mixes and pumpkin from the Orlando’s Bio range.

Pasta can be made in many ways, from the simplest to the most complicated ways of preparation. With only a few ingredients and extremely short cooking time (about 20 minutes), we were able to prepare some absolutely delicious pasta. I served them for lunch, but they are perfect for dinner or even prepared when you have dinner and want to offer something more special.

To highlight the preparation, not only did we use Parmesan, without which, we believe that any pasta recipe could not be the same, but we also used sunflower seeds and Orlando’s Pumpkin from the Bio range, which I browned them in a pan to enhance their taste. These have added value to pasta, which we still dream of.

We invite you to try the recipe and impress your loved ones with this preparation!

Ingredients

30 gr. Orlando’s Raw Organic Sunflower Kernels
30 gr. Orlando’s Raw Organic Pumpkin Kernels
200 gr. fusilli
100 gr. green pea
500 ml. liquid cream for cooking
10 fresh basil leaves
5 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons parmesan
Spices to taste: salt, pepper, oregano

Preparation

Put in pot water and boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package. The boiling time is found on the packaging of the bag in which the pasta was, but we recommend boiling them 1 minute less than writing on the packaging because they will later be found in the sauce that we will prepare for this recipe.

While the pasta is boiling, you can treat the sauce. Crush the 5 cloves of garlic and simmer for 2 minutes, then add the green peas, mix and pour two cups of water in the boiling pasta. This water is full of starch left over from the pasta during boiling, which makes it perfect, because the starch helps thicken the sauce.

Boil the peas for 5 minutes, then add the liquid cream and spices to the pan. After the pasta is boiled, add them to the sauce with the freshly chopped basil and mix. Simmer for 1 minute, during which time put the seed mixture in a pan, with a pinch of salt and let them brown a little. The fire should be small to medium in order not to burn the seeds. Mix them from time to time, so that they brown on both sides.

Method of service
Put the pasta in a bowl, add parmesan to taste and 2-3 teaspoons of sunflower seeds and gherkin.

They came out amazingly delicious and we hope we made you want! I will cook it!
