Pasta pudding with golden raisins and almond flakes

Pasta with raisins is a dessert that reminds us of childhood. Grandma would often make this dessert when we wanted something sweet at the moment. Today we dedicate this recipe to everyone who fondly remembers childhood dishes.

It’s a very simple and quick recipe, and its ingredients are available to anyone. It is a very aromatic dessert, and a few minutes after you put it in the oven, your house will start to smell very good and you can hardly wait to eat it.

For this pasta pudding we chose to use Orlando’s golden raisins, which, we think are invaluable in such a recipe. I taste great, and if you do not want to use sugar in the recipe, you can increase the weight of raisins in the list of ingredients, because this will be enough to sweeten the pudding. Also, above the pudding we thought it would look good for a “bed” of almonds, which once cooked, will become Romanian.

Ingredients

100 gr. Orlando’s golden raisins
30 gr. Orlando’s almond flakes
1 bottle of Orlando’s rum essence
250 gr. pasta (choose any type of pasta)
600 gr. fresh cow cheese
200 gr. natural yogurt
120 gr. sugar
4 eggs
bark shaved from an orange

Preparation

We really liked what came out and we hope to remind you of the sweet moments of childhood.

To start, put the boiled pasta in water with a pinch of salt and boil them according to the instructions on the packaging (the boiling time of the pasta must be written on the package).

While preparing the rest of the ingredients, the raisins should stay hydrated. Put them in a bowl with a bottle of rum and warm water to cover them.

In a large bowl put the cow’s cheese, yogurt, sugar and orange peel. Mix them with a slurry, then add the eggs and mix well.

After the pasta has boiled, strain, leave to cool completely, then add in the bowl over the rest of the ingredients. In the same bowl add the raisins moisturized and strained by the water in which they were hydrated.

Mix everything with a spoon or spatula and pour the composition into a tray covered with baking sheet. Level the composition well, then sprinkle over almond flakes, as to cover the pudding above. The tray used by us is 30×25 cm.

Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 * C, for about 55-65 minutes, until you see that the almonds on top are browned. Allow to cool completely, then cut into appropriate pieces and serve with pleasure.

The pudding can be served as a dessert, as a breakfast or as a snack. It can also be packaged wherever you go: school, college, job, in short hikes by car. Prepare it when you have guests at the table, we are sure they will remain impressed. You’re welcome!
